Why We Love It: Dutil's second ever collaboration with Pure Blue Japan is finally here! Made to celebrate Dutil Calgary's first birthday (08/03/19), the jean has been designed with specific Calgary motifs in mind. Pure Blue Japan's VTG ('vintage') fabric is based on the Levi's 1947 501XX — perhaps the most iconic jean model ever made. We chose it because of the denim history it recalls and for the reason that this history is often times synonymous with the (wild) Western tropes that Calgary has been associated with. The fabric is comfortable from the start and wears beautifully with time. We chose to make this jean in PBJ's xx-013 fit because of its versatility. Fitted (but not tight) throughout the leg, the silhouette is timeless — a lot like the 501 this jean borrows its inspiration from. Each purchase also comes with a custom designed tote bag designed here in Canada.
Details: This jean also features a veg tan leather patch with an exclusive collaboration design, an orange-outline embroidered indigofera leaf on the back pocket, and pink-line selvedge detailing.
Wash: “Year One”; PBJ's VTG ('vintage') fabric — an unsanforized, one-wash fabric that is meant to mimic the attributes of the Levi's 501 from 1947.
Fit: The XX-013 fit is a true slim-tapered jean with a medium rise.

Inseam: 34” — hemming services available.
Composition: 14oz, 100% cotton.
