Why We Love It: Building upon the ingenuity of the Elephant’s 5’s super-slubby warp yarns, this iteration of N&F’s famous Elephant series denim utilizes grandrelle weft yarns for a truly unique look and feel. Grandrelle yarns are essentially two-ply yarns that are made by twisting two single-ply yarns of contrasting colours together. The result is a denim that appears simultaneously indigo and black; then, flip the jean’s cuff to reveal the grandrelle yarns’ TV-static-like appearance. This denim is 100% cotton and 20oz meaning it is one of the heaviest denim fabrics you’ll be able to find on the market this fall/winter.
Details: Contrast stitching, redline selvedge ID, 10oz vegetable tanned leather patch, and silver metallic buttons and rivets.
Wash: "Elephant 11 - Grandrelle"; a dark—almost black—indigo colour on the outside and a black-and-white static colour on the inside. Flip the cuff to reveal this unique woven pattern!
Fit: The Easy Guy is a high-rise tapered fit with a relaxed top block and a sharp taper from knee to hem.
