There’s no King of Pop Convention this Sunday (just dutil shoppers)

This Sunday, don’t be shocked by the line-up of shoppers dressed up as the King of Pop on West Cordova Street. It’s dutil hosting a Michael Jackson look-alike contest. Feel free to join in; anyone who enters this Gastown denim shop dressed up as the late pop icon, will have a chance to win a free pair of jeans courtesy of Dutil. The contestants will certainly stand out on the biggest shopping day in Canada.

To differentiate ourselves from the mass of hyper trendy stores in the Gastown area, Dutil does a different contest theme every year, creating an interactive Boxing Day event for our customers. Crazy contests on Boxing Day have become somewhat of a tradition at Dutil. Last year, we gave away free pairs of jeans to people who cut their hair off for the Locks of Love charity. The year before, we ran a contest for the person who brought in the smallest wrapped Christmas presents.

All Michael Jackson look-a-like contestants must be at dutil prior to 10am on December 26, 2010 to qualify. Impersonations are welcome, but singing not required (or is it?).
