Two styles in the ‘Skinny’ fit have arrived in Black and Indigo, while an additional ‘High Skinny’ fit has come in a Super Stretch Indigo/Black colorway. This Saturday we will be hosting a party to coincide with our launch of COMUNE in-store. A new arrival in the women’s department for 2012 from our friends at Courtshop is in-store in Vancouver. Two styles were included, both in tonal indigo shades and offering simple design as per the brand’s aesthetic. 10 oz. premium stretch denim is blended with classic 5-pocket styling for this release. Option one consists of the ‘High Waist Skinny’ fit in a Celine colourway, while option two is rounded out by the ‘High Waist Relaxed’ fit in a Blue Overdye. Katayoon is rocking a pair of Nudie’s TLJ’s in Stretch Indigo, and has been doing so for the past two years straight.  With only one wash, these Nudie’s have transformed into a pair we could only ever dream of owning. They have been repaired once in the back and she’s left a tear in the knee. This is what they once looked like. The Tight Long Johns are a unisex jean, super skinny and with 2% Lycra.  Try it out ladies… we have tons of raw options with stretch in the store.

As part of the Vancouver Sun’s new music project The Gastown Sessions, dutil. Vancouver had the pleasure of having the Canadian Folk Rock band Great Lake Swimmers play in store last week. The band played the single from their new album New Wild Everywhere, set to be released tomorrow, April 3rd, 2012. This newest addition to our roster of Australian denim just arrived in Vancouver. Neuw Denim has captained a style that revolves around what the brand calls ‘Vintage Revision’. The concept involves updating vintage styles with hand repair work and tailoring to reveal a set of uniquely styled garments. The Belgian city of Neuwlandstraat served as inspiration for the label’s name when it was established in 2005. Come by the shop to check out the men’s and women’s styles offered up. For men, several iterations of the skinny ‘Iggy’ fit are available in Black Stone, Raw Stretch, Wheat, and First Year Wash. Ladies can choose between the ‘Razor Skinny’ in Black Market and the ‘Marilyn High Skinny’ in Opus Blue, Mustard, and Berry (in order below).

In light of the premier release from dutil. Records coming up shortly, we are very excited to announce an in-store performance by Canadian folk rock band Great Lake Swimmers alongside the Vancouver Sun for Gastown Sessions. After concluding several stops across Canada, the group plans to drop by dutil. Vancouver briefly before embarking on the European leg of their tour. A short set list is slated for around 1:30 tomorrow on March 27th, but make sure to arrive early and browse our spring/summer collections.
