We’ve decided to try something different this fall; Levi’s Dockers. You’ve all seen them before, they’re classic and important, and you should all own a pair. Scotch & Soda’s “Ralston” fit is quickly becoming a dutil. staple. Perfectly tapered, and shown here in a wonderfully worn grey. Also new to dutil. is Simon Spurr. This jean is a nice, slim straight leg with wonderful yellow selvedge!

This fall we are receiving so many new brands and styles that it’s hard to keep up with! In order to give you a little teaser of what’s in the shop, we took a few shots this morning. We are really excited about the new TLC Summer 2011 magazine and are lucky enough to have a few shots of some of the staff at dutil. in our own Quintessential Series in the magazine. Thanks TLC! We have it for sale in the store ($7.58 plus tax).

Every woman needs a nicely cut denim jacket. The Levi’s iconic denim jacket for women is fitted and cropped just right for summer. Sartorial dreams of pretty floral summer dresses and this lighter wash jacket make us pray to the sun God for a little help during this rainy Vancouver summer. In the meantime, the jacket looks pretty fly with some black skinnies as well.

The dutil. Toronto Grand Opening party (held Wednesday May 11, 2011) was a total success and many fans, friends and family showed to celebrate with us! We had the pleasure of having the wonderful Brandon Svarc of Naked & Famous come into the store this weekend for a N&F product knowledge session. Part of the meeting included a story about a physical labourer who wore his Natural Indigo Skinny Guys for a year of hard work; he washed them only twice during this time. The honeycomb fades at the ankle are from being crammed into work boots. When fades turn out this good, it reminds us of why we choose raw denim in the first place. Try it yourself and get faded!

You may have heard through the grapevine that dutil. is opening a second location in Toronto, Ontario. We are proud to say that it is not just a rumour, but a reality; dutil. Toronto will be open for business this spring 2011 on Toronto’s famed Queen Street West. We are so excited about our new Eastern Canadian venture that we wanted to show you the floor plan for the shop that will be located at 704 Queen Street West. Stay tuned for the confirmed opening date and the launch party that will be sure to go down in history.

Rag & Bone is one of our favourite labels, and we think it should be yours too. This RB23X is a skinny jean, in a superlight wash that reminds us of the ’90s (in a good way). Very nice.
